Audio only Part 2:
This v/blog is about sharing stories, listening to people tell their journey whether it be about their careers or hobbies. Inspiring others to follow their dreams and strive to do something that makes them happy, speaks to their soul or lights a fire in their belly. My guests share advice from their own perspectives over various topics, they share their hopes and dreams and what they want out of life and out of their endeavors. The great thing about being human is that everyone has their own experiences that form their own opinions, and sometimes we need to hear an opinion that differs from our own. This is not a place to condemn someone for how they do or think about things if it’s different from how you’d do it, but to just listen and take it for what it is – a sharing of their experience.
Video games? YES, please! Welcome, Jalen!
Jalen Terry, everybody! This beautiful soul is a game developer, working on his side-scroller called The Grand Adventures of Mr. Raccoon. This game is looking like it’s gonna be an awesome one, and I’m super excited to be a part of it! I may be a little late in posting this one, but better late than never. He’s had some delays in development, so it’s not too late to watch his progress on Instagram! Account info is a few paragraphs down.
Jalen talks with me about how he came up with the idea for his game and how he progressed to where he is today. He juggles multiple jobs, medical conditions, other obstacles and still is doing EVERYTHING (except some of the voice acting) in this game. It’s incredible. He’s doing the brainstorming, the scriptwriting, the animating, the drawing, the directing, the editing, all of it – and he’s in his early 20’s, y’all. I’m honored to be friends with someone so skilled and talented, and so happy he found me and asked me to join.
He also talks about his inspirations – both in life and for the game. What started as a simple story for fun has flourished into this intricate idea that has been marinating in his brain for years. We also talk a little about what his life has been like, and he has some great advice for those who are looking to create their own video game.
Although he doesn’t use it much (if at all), you never know when he may start posting – so you can find him on Twitter @WyrmLunar. His Instagram is @lunar_wyrm_productions, which is where most of his content and progress can be found. So check him out and maybe get a chance to join the beta group!
