This v/blog is about sharing stories, listening to people tell their journey whether it be about their careers or hobbies. Inspiring others to follow their dreams and strive to do something that makes them happy, speaks to their soul or lights a fire in their belly. My guests share advice from their own perspectives over various topics, they share their hopes and dreams and what they want out of life and out of their endeavors. The great thing about being human is that everyone has their own experiences that form their own opinions, and sometimes we need to hear an opinion that differs from our own. This is not a place to condemn someone for how they do or think about things if it’s different from how you’d do it, but to just listen and take it for what it is – a sharing of their experience.
Chris is in the house!
This guy went from livin’ the rock star dream to finding out he’s a DnD nerd, to voice actor. What a story. Chris talks about his previous struggles with life, being a musician and alcoholism. Life hit him hard for awhile and he somehow managed to pull himself out of that dark place and go after his new passion – voice acting. He didn’t let his addiction swallow him whole, which is incredible. Kudos to you, Chris.
There have been a lot of changes to his life since we recorded this episode and he’s had to put more focus on his FT day job, so Chris is taking a break from voice acting at the moment until he has the funds to get his business and studio back up and running. He needs all the love, support and encouragement he can get right now. His website isn’t currently active, but he still has his social channels – you’ll find them near the end of the blog.
He does Twitch, TikTok, Youtube and etc for a campaign called L.O.R.E., which is DnD based. So if that’s your thing, go check it out! Here’s everything you need to follow and learn about L.O.R.E.: https://linktr.ee/loreliveplay. An update from Chris, himself, “We took our campaigns offline and are bringing one back along with some new content very soon.”
To learn more in-depth about Chris and his journey, watch the video or listen to the audio. He has a lot of value to add to our conversation and is very open about himself. If you’d like to follow him and show your support, please follow this link –> https://linktr.ee/ChrisFergusonVO and that will take you to a list of links to his social channels. As previously mentioned, his website is down for the time being, but once he gets back on the VO train, he’ll get that back up and running!
And as always, if you wanna check out my website, you can find it here: samphilyawvo.com.
